Hotel Front Maritim - Barcelona

Although the hotel is away from the main part of barcelona , this is exactly what we were looking for The hotel was very clean with a lovely sauna and steam room and complimentary water . Food in the restaurant is basic but good . The area around the hotel was quiet but plenty of nice restaurants and a good shopping centre nearby . Public transport was very efficnet if you neded to go into the centre

Rooms were very small but clean and cute, good for one person, food was standard. Good location, right across the street from the beach, and about a 10 euro taxi ride to Las Ramblas and the bars.

this hotel was close to the beach and the diagonal mar shopping centre and tourist bus route(only during the summer months). there was complimentary mineral water supplied. we did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment. some staff had poor English so communication was tough and i had asked for a travel cot but this was not provided. there was no bath in the room but the shower was very good and the toiletries were excellent. the rooms were quite small and the bed was just comfortable not luxury. i would recommend this hotel due to its location and cleanliness.

When my friend and I checked into this hotel we were pleasantly surprised, because for what we paid we got a great hotel. You basically walk across the street to the beach (which was awesome). Its about a 5 minute walk to the subway station, which can get you pretty much anywhere...just keep in mind that the last subways are around 11:30pm or midnight, and after that you'll have to shell out a fair amount to get a taxi back (and when you take a taxi, give both the hotel name and the street address, because apparently it is quite easy to get the street address mixed up with another place in Barcelona). Only con about the location: not a large number of places to eat around there. Hotel itself was simple but great. Had free internet access in the lobby too. The express breakfast in the lobby wasn't too expensive, and the coffee and pastries were delicious!

Extremely clean...loved the hotel. Was traveling through Europe for a month and this room (comfort, cozy, price, location) spoiled me. It was hard for any other hotel to measure up to this one after my stay.

I stayed here in mid May. Good location, close to the beach, but not much around the hotel as far as restaurants and other attractions. A short 10-15 min walk along the beach brings you closer to the Port Olympic action where there is much more. The room I had was very small, but clean. Bathroom was very nice and the water pressure was GREAT and made for a very nice shower. For the rate I got, it was worth it. For about 25% more you can be closer to the action but I didn't mind a short walk/taxi and was there for a conference.

Air-con didn't work. At least 2 of the machines in the "gym" also didn't work. The steam room stank from the smell from the drains. The rooms are small. There are far better 3* hotels in Barcelona - and cheaper! Simply not worth the money.

We had a lovely time in Barcelona. It was made even better by the hotel Maritim. We would definately return as the location is beautiful and decor attractive and clean.

The hotel is alright, but I'm a bit confused with the 4-star rank, as there's not even a minibar or a safe deposit box, and the rooms are quite tiny. I only booked this hotel, because it was allegedly close to the city centre (it clearly isn't) and because of the 4 stars. Call me pretentious, but it looks like a really nice and well-maintained 2-star hotel as it offers nothing more than a bed and a clean shower. The beds are not very comfortable and a queen bed is actually two singles brought together with a big gap in between. It's also quite hard avoiding hearing your neighbours taking a shower. Overall, I'm quite unimpressed.

The hotel was good for the price I paid. Located on the beach front. Nice front desk staff. Horrible service at the bar and not very good room service food. I probably won't return to this hotel, but this would be more based on location rather then service. Easy to get to from Metro station, however too far away from the city centre.

This modern hotel offered very good value for money; the room price seemed unusually low for the quality. I clearly got a very good deal. Clean, modern, well appointed (if not very large) room with good facilities, comfortable beds, good shampoos and shower gels etc. Breakfast was a well presented and fresh continental selection with hot eggs and bacon. Get a room facing the sea and you get a view over the coast road and linear park to the beach. Hotel has reasonable facilities including internet access, free papers and a cafe bar Drawbacks? Quite a way out and with baggage, the only really viable option is taxi. Best part of 45 minutes walk to the old town. Bus and metro a few blocks away.

I went for first time in Barcelona and to book a lovely hotel like this it was incredible experience.Strongly recommend this hotel,not expensive delicious breakfast and great location,right beside the beach.I will be back again.

Rooms need to have a down comforter for warmth.

The hotel was excellent. It is a bit out of the centre but it is right next to a metro station, which is cheap easy to use and reliable, or if you get tickets for open top bus there is a stop round the corner. Also the beach is right across the road. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms are basic but really comfortable, only thing I can critise is there isn't a kettle in your room. If you want coffee you have to order room service (which surprisingly is quite cheap) All in all I would definafely recommend

The Hotel Front Maritim is right on the front facing the beach it is modern, exceptionally clean, the staff are friendly and helpful I would definitely go back to this hotel. On the down side it is quite a way from Barcelona centre, but the tour bus does stop around the corner which is a must if you are a first time tourist.

The Hotel was great, Good Service, However I requested a double room at booking but was allocated a twin room. This was highly disappointing keeping in mind I was with my wife. I hope Hotels.com looks into this rahter than worrying about their commission instead of guest comfort. Other than that great food, great sevice & beautiful city.

The room was small but clean. There is a minimum of furniture so unpacking was tricky. It reminded me of an upgraded college dorm room. The service was fine, no problems although we didn't ask for much more than a wake-up call.

The room in the hotel was disappointingly small. There was too little space for storing clothes and no comfortable chair for sitting and reading. It felt like a dorm room, and a pretty high price.

The hotel staff was not friendly and boardered on rudeness. The bed in the first room we were offered had recent blood stains on the matress pad. They did accommodate a room change but was not overly concerned about the condition of the bed. The second room was clean and although small very comfortable. The location of the hotel sits on the 'hop on/hop off' bus line which was very convenient.

While the hotel looks "cool" in the architectural modern sense that Barcelona is famous for, it is extremely uncomfortable. Utilitarian to a fault--hidden glass pocket doors, no drawers to speak of, plastic drapes, lights that all go on and off with one switch--it just isn't designed for human travelers in need of a good night's sleep. Unlike most European hotel rooms, breakfast, which cost $35.00 a couple, is not included in the price but you can just walk around the block to find a variety of far more reasonable coffee shops. Dinner, which cost $60.00 was a bowl of spaghetti with four bites of well-seaonsed chicken, half bottle of wine and dessert. Wine shops that sell wine for as little as $2.00 a bottle, also around corner. Bring a pillow and ear plugs, you're gonna need 'em!

Hotel is very clean and helpful but the room was a little smaller than i exspected but the main problem was you can here everything from your room We can here, the guy next door using his bathroom and anything in the hall way

Für eine ruhige erholsame Nachtruhe bestens geeignet. Touristikbus in unmittelbarer Nähe, Metro ein paar Schritte weiter. Personal an der Rezeption sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Hotellets beliggenhed er optimal. Tæt på dejlig strand, i ret rolige og grønne omgivelser, i gåafstand(ca 30 min) til centrum og kort til metro samt bus uden for døren. Hotellets atmosfære er behageligt og imødekommende, og alt virker rent og velhodt. Hotellet kan varmt anbefales, og vi kommer gerne igen.

hotel facile à trouver, en bord de mer, accueil sympathique, personnel agréable. La chambre était très propre et surtout très calme. Parking payant. Possibilité de se garer aux alentours. Accés facile centre Barcelone metro à 3 mn de marche. Bon rapport qualité prix

A quinze euros le petit-déjeuner est trop cher. Les douches hommes de la salle de gym ne fonctionnaient pas et il manquait régulièrement de l'eau dans les frigos prévus à cet effet. Personnel plutôt attentionné. Bien placé par rapport aux lignes de bus et métro et en face de la plage. Il manquait des facilités pour se faire une boisson chaude dans la chambre - décevant pour 4 étoiles.

Et flott hotell for de som ønsker å bo litt utenfor Barcelona, men nært flotte strender. Tok ca. halvtime å gå inn til byen langs strandpromenaden, ypperlig.

hotel front maritim er et pænt, middlepris hotel. værelset var pænt og rent, dog lidt lille. Servicen i receptionen var super og meget behjælpelige med turist spørgsmål.Ligger lige ned til vandet, dog lidt længere ind til selve byen. Heldigvis er metro og bus let at tage tæt ved hotellet. Konklusion et behageligt ophold.

Hotellet ligger nær flott strand, fredelig tilbaketrukket fra byen. Kommunikasjonen til sentrum er svært god. Turistbussen stopper også rett ved hotellet. Hotellet stiller også med et serviceinnstilt personale. Et godt utgangspunkt for et sommeropphold i Barcelona.

Bra beliggenhet i forhold til strand og uteliv. Meget pent hotell og ingenting å utesette på service eller komfort.

Är mycket nöjd med Hotel Front Maritim. 5 min gångavstånd till stranden och 10 min till tunnelbana. Ligger i lugnt område med inte så mycket turister vilket var väldigt skönt. Det var inte jobbigt att ta sig runt eftersom tunnelbanan fungerar väldigt bra. Väldigt snyggt och rent hotell. Bra service, vi blev alltid väl bemötta och aldrig några problem. Det enda som inte var topp var "spa" anläggningen, en pytteliten bastu och en ännu mindre ångbastu, gymmet var trasigt. Men förutom det ett hotell som jag tycker var väldigt prisvärt och rekommenderar varmt.

Kom fra hostelcamping så var meget imponerede i starten. Hyggelig og ren atmosfære og dejligt værelse mod gården med havudsigt! Nemt at finde. Desværre knirkede sengen, receptionen var dårlige til engelsk, der manglede virkelig pool og balkon (specielt fordi stranden var ulækker med blade, affald og bind (!) i vandet, der er 2 veje mellem hotellet og stranden (selvom det faktisk ligger i 1. række) og fitnessrummet er meget lille! Men selvom det ligger et godt stykke uden for centrum er det nemt med metro og vi var glade for at bo der. Det gratis vand på gangene bliver dog sjældent fyldt op fordi folk bruger køleskabene til personlige ting!

Hotellet ligger vid havet bara något 100 tal meter att gå dit. Långt till stan tunnelbana rekomenderas. ganska hög fuktluftighet i rummen eftersom det ligger nära till havet. Men är det bad man är ute efter ett bra hotel

I got the room VERY cheap and did not know what to expect. But what an amazing surprise! Beautiful and modern Hotel just near the beach! Great bed, nice wooden floor, beautiful marble bathroom, friendly staff. The location is quIte far from the centre of the city (10 minutes walk, 20 min subway) and the shower was warm and cold every 5 sec, but I could live with that. Eventually it made our stay in Barcelona even better..

Med stranda som nærmeste nabo var dette hotellet perfekt hvis man ønsker og kombinere strand og by ferie. Tbanen er kun ca. 5min gange fra hotellet og man slipper å bytte linje for å komme seg til sentrum. klart minus ved hotellet er aircondition som ikke fungerte!rommet var ALT for varmt!Servicen fra enkelte i resepsjonen var til tider arrogant, og det ble vist liten vilje til å løse problemer.

Nært stranda, kort avstand til metro. Litt små rom hvis man skal være flere enn to på rommet til tider

Hôtel parfait pour un court séjour, chambre top, le personnel parle bien anglais, l'emplacement est très pratique (proche plage ET métro) et le resto est vraiment bon et pas cher...

Execellent rapport qualité prix: L'hotel est un peu éloigné de la ville historique mais dans le nouveau quartier sur le bord de mer à proximité immédiate des belles plages. De plus il est facile de se garer dans la rue et le centre est très bien desservi par le bus ligne 41 à moins de 100 m de l hotel
