Holyrood Aparthotel - Edinburgh

Kitchenette, living room, beds, bath - all clean and spacious. So much more than a one room hotel that would have you falling all over each other. Blair is the best and his staff is fantastic. I will recommend to anyone thinking of trekking north of Leeds.

Holyroad aparthotel was a very nice and best place to stay. 10 mins walk from the Waverley station and 5 mins form the main market. I recommend other people to stay here.

We hadatwo bedroom suite (apartment)for a week. The hotel employees were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way when we were trying to fing out what happened to a package we had shipped from the US. Would recommend this hotel and will stay again.

My 2 sons and i stayed and found this to be a comfortable place, reasonably priced and in a good location just steps of the royal mile, but is hard to find if coming by car- which we were.

The Aparthotel was incredibly comfortable. The room was quiet, and clean. It was perfect for families, as the kids had their own space and we had ours. It was close to everything. The breakfast basket was delightful!

If you get the chance, this is the place to stay. This apartment is large, comfortable, well taken care of, and staff is wonderful. It is in an ideal location. You couldn't get better for your money.

Holyrood Aparthotel is convenient to Royal Mile and a quick walk to hike up to Arthurs Seat. Walking from Train Station is easier if you follow shortcuts through closes(alleys). Staff very helpful and polite.

We walked in and were amazed that we had 4 separate rooms! Two bedrooms, which was great traveling with our 23 yr old daughter. We also had our own bathrooms, and a separate living area with TV. The washer/dryer was a pleasant surprise, as was the basket of goodies. Off the Royal Mile just a few steps meant we were close enough without the street noise. I highly recommend it. I booked it using previous comments, so I hope this helps you.

This is a modern friendly place to stay. We arrived by car during what could only be described as a deluge. We found the covered parking area under the hotel very easily due to Sat Nav. The very pollite receptionist booked us in and took us up to our apartment showing us the two bedrooms, bathroom, Lounge diner and Kitchen area explaining the basics. The rooms are modern and well equiped with all you would need for a weeks stay. Awaiting our arrival was a Hamper big enough to feed four for a week (just the two of us). We were both happy for our first ever stay in a hotel apartment and would defently be going back again. I highly recommend the Holyrood Aparthotel.

We had booked the hotel for two days and due to a change of plans I told my wife we should add another day ..she wanted to stay one night to judge the place.. after the initial TOUR she told them to add another day..

Clean, friendly, roomy, centrally located. Great.

the shower pan did not drain in the en suite room of our 2-bedroom with living and kitchen area, so our showers were pretty short, but everything else was very clean and neat. The breakfast basket had the usual continental cereals and bread with juice and instant coffee. When we ran out of milk, staff delivered "as soon as we can." We thought, "yeah right," but it was delivered within 3 minutes! Very nice, efficient service. Perfect location minutes from the train station, yet very quiet off-street. A Pizza Express is around the corner serving outstanding food after you've had your fill of tourist rip-off restaurants.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Holyrood Aparthotel. The staff were very courteous and helpful whenever necessary. The location was great. It was one block away from the Royal Mile, which contains the majority of tourist attractions in Edinburgh. The apartment itself felt like it had been renovated recently. Every corner of our two bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. If I am ever traveling back to Edinburgh, I will be staying here again without reservation.

The combination of a great location, a well maintained property, and the versatility of having individual bedrooms, a separate seating area and a kitchen made this hotel the perfect choice for us. We highly recommend it.

Did exactly what it said on the tin - great appartment, loads of space, clean and great breakfast basket added in. Staff were helpful and teh location was fine, easy for the old town and the castle. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh

Absolutely great location and great service. Breakfast included makes your life so much easier. Walk to everything. You can walk to Airlink bus. It is 3.50 pounds one way and 6 round trip.

This modern aparthotel met all expectations. Location, price, amenities, quality of service.... We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed and satisfied in our accommodation during our stay in Edinburgh. Hope I can come back soon. No hesitant to recommend friends and collegues. Really excellent.

Hotel is a little out of the way of the city centre but is perfect for people wanting to be close to the Royal Mile and to be away from the hustle and bustle of the majority of tourists. The hotel is within a minute or two of a Starbucks, Pizza Express and various independent coffee shops, newsagents etc. We would recommend the Turkish coffee shop on Canongate and also the Mai Thai restaurant around the corner from the hotel. The apartment itself was very clean and was perfect for a couple like ourselves in terms of facilities and location. The food supplied in the breakfast basket was great and lasted us for two days, but if anything ran out we were able to ring down to reception and get a refill. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite and we would certainly go back to stay.

Excellent "hotel" for families. The apartment-like set up worked perfectly for our family (4 adults), with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting room and kitchen. The light breakfast food provided (cereal, yogurt, bread, juice) was nice. We did not cook in the aparthotel, but the cookware and dishes seemed adequate to do so. Within walking distance to the Palace of Holyrood House and the Royal Mile. Cheap taxi ride to Waverly train station.

This hotel was spacious, clean, and more like a large apartment with its full kitchen, living room and two bedrooms with queen beds. It's the first time in Europe I actually had too much room rather than too little. The staff is polite and helpful. Just remember there is no dining service for the hotel, but there's plenty of restaurants and pubs down the Royal Mile and around Holyrood for food.

Definitely a quality apartment complex in a central location. Rooms were spotless although neat in size. Car parking was available too. Would definitely stay there again.

The only criticism I would make is in relation to the choice of contintal breakfast. A choice of cereal would have been helpful and we had a disproportionate amount of marmalade. These are minor criticisms and did not prevent our enjoyment of the break.

This is a brillant place to stay for a family. The apartment was really spacious and the seperate bathroom/toilet room and shower/toilet room were excellent. The kids loved their room and they were able to rent out DVD,s at reception with the modest fee £1 going to charity. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were provided with a generous hamper of food for breakfast in the apartment. As a family we loved our stay here and would give it ten out of ten. The location is very good. Overall our best accomodation ever and far superior to staying in hotels. Loved it and we will definatly be going back here.

Very good staff, comfortable beds, well equipped rooms, just let down by noisy, slow draining plumbing of all things. Good location.

This was a short break for us, and we chose on the strength of the independent reviews on these sites! And we were right to do so. The welcome was warm and very polite, the room was very spacious and clean and modern, with all of the expected mod-cons (plus an excellent selection of breakfast things including milk!). Great location, just off the Royal Mile, so only a very short walk to all of the major tourist attractions and galleries.

Booked this apartment as reviews so good. We were not disappointed. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to family and friends.

Thanks to Holyrood aparthotel, we had a fab time in Edinburgh. The accomodation was fantastic. Breakfast was a perfect start to the day, all staff were friendly, and the location made it easy to get around. everything was within walking distance. The Holyrood Aparthotel felt more like home than a hotel. I loved having a fully stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. The breakfast basket was great. We were able to eat in our room before going off on a day of sightseeing. The hotel was in a great location and not too far from the castle or the train station. I would stay here again for sure!!

Central spacious accomadation. Good value for money. I would choose an aparthotel instead of a hotel again. My only negative feedback is that you could hear a lot of noise from corridor and other rooms.

Really great place at the back of the Royal Mile, An easy walk to Princes street. Cut through from the hotel, opposite the Christmas shoppe. Get a taxi here though as it is difficult to find at first. Road and outside of hotel is not impressive, but once inside, great apartments, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, hamper of breakfast goodies, 3 Tvs, Dvd player, full kitchen d/washer - w/machine - everything, much prefered this to a cramped hotel room.

Service was excellent as was the security. Staff were very personable and helpful.The apartment was clean and well stocked with essentials. Bedding was immaculate, washrooms were clean. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We loved haveing 2 bedrooms and 2 baths- it made traveling with a family very easy. The staff is wonderful- willing to recommend places to eat, giving directions on how to get places, etc. The hotel is right off of the Royal Mile and very near the Palace. The rooms were clean and neat. The inroom continenal breakfast was very nice- good choices and they would replace things you ran out of. I would stay here again. Deby

Tons of space for the money and all the conveniences of home and great location.

Hidden away but great location to Royal Mile and local attractions. Hotel is just a walk through Cooper's Close off of Royal Mile. This is helpful because if you ask the locals for help they will refer you towards a similar named local hotel off of Holyrood. At Holyrood Aparthotel they provide a complimentary breakfast basket to last more than your stay. They have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, full kitchen, living room, and even washer/dryer in the room. Also, free internet in the lobby. Great experience, staff is so helpful. Just know before you go how to get there.

A good location, clean & Tidy, quiet and yet close to the hustle and bustle. Please note the apartments are I would say very small but very clean & very well presented.

The two bedroomed two bathroom apartment was excellant. Very modern and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast hamper was poor with white sliced bread, Ryvita crispbreads and tasteless fat free yogurts. But we took our own so it was not a problem

Very large facilities. We had 2 bedrooms, with kitchen and living area. Very comfortable and clean. People were very nice and helpful. Windows could do with a little maintenance so that they can open better. However, overall we would stay again.

The apartment was very well equipped.

We arrived late in the evening, after a stressful journey, and were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. All of our questions and requests were meet with a professional and knowledgeable response. It certainly was a relaxed way to arrive in Edinburgh! The apartment itself was spacious and well equipped. The kitchen, bathrooms and other rooms were furnished to a high standard and the kitchen was provisioned with enough to enjoy a tasty continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms had excellent blinds to keep the room dark (essential in Edinburgh in the summer with its short nights). The location is excellent, being right off the Royal Mile and the parking is secure and reasonable. I would highly recommend the Holyrood Aparthotel and we shall be staying there on our next visit to Edinburgh

The outside of the building is plain and an odd shade of blue, but on arrival the reception was very welcoming and the apartment was very spacious and had all amenitites. Kitchen was fully equipped and plenty of food for continental breakfast for our 3 day stay. Two double bedrooms, bathroom and ensuite, lounge and kitchen, great place if the weather is grim. Very close to Holyrood house and the new Scottish parliament building. A 20 minute walk to the castle, didn't need a car as most places accessible on foot. Only critisism (as mentioned before by previous visitors) very squeaky wooden floor in lounge! Would visit again.

Excellant staying here has changed my hotel planning for ever. Great spacious apartment, such a luxury to have 2 bathrooms a lounge and a kitchen. Great location. Nothing negative beyond the normal things that all hotels have eg quirky plumbing. Deffo going back again.

The staff were terrific. There was nothing that they did not help us with. From using the phone to giving directions, and recommending discount stores or places to eat and things to see. The room was neat and clean and had every possible need covered. I would stay there again. No doubt.

I was not sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed my stay there. The exterior definitly needs a fresh coat of paint, but it was very nice on the inside. It was in easy walking distance of the local sites. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. I was traveling with a friend and it was so nice that we each could have our own room, and bathroom for less then what some other small hotel rooms were going for. Plus we had a little kitchen. I would stay there again in a heart beat.
