Best Western Hotel Kampa - PRAHA

This hotel was very good. We arrived in Prague from Amsterdam. Our luggege was lost in flight. The people from the Helpdesk was very helpfull and we recover our luggege the same day. The hotel is very clean, room very spacious and the breakfast was great. The location was excellent. There are several small private own restaurants near by. I certanly recommend this hotel for any one going to Prague. If you are travelling with elderly in Europe make sure you get a room in the first floor.

I just reread the old reviews of this hotel and I can't believe we stayed at the same hotel. Hotel staff spoke very poor English and were not friendly or helpful at all. One never smiled! The room was small, with 2 twin beds, but we expected that in Europe, so that was no big deal. It was very clean. However, the bathroom smelled like sewer. It was very hot when we were there. The hotel brochure stated we should call down to the main desk for a fan if we were very hot, as there was no air conditioning in our room. When I did that, they informed me there was no fan---except for a fan in the bathroom!!! But the bathroom smelled like sewer, so we didn't want to open that door!! Nice neighborhood--about a 10-15 min walk to Charles Bridge, but not convenient if we wanted to drop things off in the middle of touring. Overall, a big disappointment.

bw kampa is a good quality hotel at a fair price. it is ideally located close to charles bridge and old town. there are several good restaurants close by and many bars. taxis are close by and the tram stops just over charles bridge. the hotel inclusive breakfast is excellant and the staff are very helpful and friendly

The Hotel itself was a very pleasant base for my wife & I, and we were both very satisfied. Breakfast was very satisfying indeed. However, I would imagine that visiting the place during the hotter summer months would make the Hotel somewhat different in that there is no air-conditioning. Also,it would be most helpful for the English-speaking visitor, were the staff, at both reception and restaurant, to be able to communicate in English. There are some good restaurants within 100m from the Hotel, mainly Italian cuisine, e.g La Favorita (opposite the Hotel), and a couple on Ujezd Road - Ristorante Carmelita and next to it.

Excellent, centrally located hotel. Perfectly situated within walking distance of all the sights. Quiet street, close to lots of bars and restaurants.

A little on the expensive side for what you get, but has a great location, good service and certainly met our needs.

Ottima la posizione per visitare Petrin (la fermata del tram "Ujetz" consigliata per raggiungerlo è quella da dove parte la funicolare). Buona anche la distanza per raggingere Ponte Carlo, fare una passeggiata nel parco di Kampa, visitare la chiesa di san nicola e salire al Castello. Consigliati i mezzi (metro e tram) per raggiungere piazza Vanceslao o per tornare sopratutto di notte in hotel dalla città vecchia (i negozi per souvenir chiudono max alle 23 e, pertanto, la gente va tutta via a quell'ora). La stanza era simile a quella visionata un pò più piccola. Buona e abbondante la colazione (unica pecca: un solo dolce al giorno - sempre diverso - ma tanti formaggi, salumi, salsicce, frutta e bevande). Particolare la sala del ristorante dove si svolge la colazione mattutina (in tema con le armature ed armi che vedrete al Castello). Altra pecca: ultima notte senza ricambio delle lenzuola che cmq erano pulite e acsiugacapelli un pò vecchiotto per esigenze di messa in piega per delle signore. La mia visita risale a fine agosto 2009. Permanenza in hotel 4 notti.

Hotellet ligger i akkurat passende gåavstand til det meste i Praha, og på den "billige" siden av elva Vlatava/Moldau. SIkkert område i byen, og en veldig koselig "stampub" rett over gata (Barbar). En veldig god og rikholdig frokost som ble inntatt i en ridderhall lignende sal

Dette er andre gangen vi bor på hotellet. Vi kommer tilbake for de har god service, bra rom og en fantastisk frokost i byens flotteste? frokostsal. Forrige gang (2003) var det for lite varmt vann i dusjene men det var utbedret nå. Store fine fom med moderne bad. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Ligger ypperlig til i stille omgiveleser ved elven bare noen minutter fra Karlsbroen. Kan trygt anbefales

Buon albergo, in una buona posizione a meta' tra il castello e ponte Carlo. Molto silenzioso e tranquillo. Si dorme benissimo. Sala da pranzo suggestiva, con un atmosfera medievale. Complessivamente carino. Personale gentile e disponibile.

Veldig spesielt hotell med en flott spisesal og full av rustninger og skjold. Vennlig betjening og god mat. Beliggenheten er ypperlig, med alt innen gåavstand. Rolig trang gate og ingen trafikkstøy. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit.

sehr schön am Kampa-Park gelegen, ruhig, nahe zur Karlsbrücke, ideal zur Straßenbahn, nett in der Frühe schon im Rittersaal beim Frühstück Klaviermusik

Gå-avstand til alle viktige severdigheter. Rolige omgivelser. Noen hundre meter fra en kjempefin sjømat restaurant "C'est la Vie" som ligger ved elven Vltava. Gode rom, rikelig frokost.

Et rigtig dejlig hotel meget fint beliggende i hjertet af Prag

Das Hotel ist ruhig und zentral gelegen. Der Service ist schlecht. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut, aber das Personal völlig inkompetent bis desinteressiert. Weiterhin erwies sich das Rezeptionspersonal als hochgradig unerfahren. Einfachste Fragen (wo kann ich in der Nähe Geld umtauschen?) konnten nicht beantwortet werden. Das Zimmer war ok, aber nicht 4-Sterne. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein und es gab keine Stellmöglichkeiten für Kosmetik etc.

Personeel achter de balie van de receptie kan meer klantgericht en dienstbaar aan de gast zijn. S.v.p. niet met elkaar smiespelen als een klant wordt bediend

Service is good. I just found my room a little bit noisy (I coud hear conversation of people in the corridor). Nice place to stay, well located in Praha.
